Procrastination in the Rain

Of course as soon as I get to Rye, NH, the beautiful weather decides to hide, and out comes typical East Coast rain. With no surf and no sun, the babes and the activities were at a low minimium. Luckily, I got together with my good friends from DU, and the infamous and notorious Brian Sullivan. When looking to see if there was any chance of surf, we kicked around until we occupied ourselves with backflips. No surf and Boredom don't work, but backflips and a camera keep us entertained. Enjoy some shots of our boredom days in the rain here in Rye, NH.

Straight to New Hampshire

So I've been on the road the last couple days.

I said goodbye to the SASS crew and Argentina, and headed back to the US of A. After 2 days of travel I arrived back home, and kicked it with my family again. I missed mom's cooking alot I realized. But, next thing I knew, I was on a bus headed to NH to see and say goodbye to some good friends before they headed back to College and longterm jobs.

I spent my first couple nights with the RGS babes, Shuana, and Sarrah (Carr). If you haven't heard already, these chicas are the new pumas in town; with a damn good cafe, that makes some damn good Ice coffee. I lounged by their pool, cooked a delicious fish lunch, had a sushi night adventure, and listened to the funniest stories. Welcome to the Cougar mansion!

Valle de Sol

When we aren't on the mountain, the SASS crew and campers kick back and relax at kilometer 22, Valle de Sol; aka THE compound. Everything from a homemade movie theater, to pool tables and ping pong games is here at the hotel. This is homebase for everybody, and for alot of us, our new home for a couple months. After the mountain, it gives us a chance to hang out with one another, jump under our covers for a siesta, or geek out on our computers and stay in touch with reality back home.

Enjoy a couple snapshots I snagged around le Hosteria.

Rip Curl Slopestyle Quals

I don't think the Rip Curl Argentine Freestyle judges were ready when a handful of SASS campers and staff signed up for the slopestyle. Everyone hammered out runs and tricks in this course that looked like so much fun. Me and BenG got to freeze our asses off and catch these clowns doing flips and spins to please las chicas, and probably to qualify for the final tomorrow; but mainly for the chicks.

It was a cold one today, with the sun dipping in and out. But, like we always do, BenG and I scoped out some spots to shoot and said our goodbye to our fingers and toes. Enjoy the Quals and get ready for the finals manana!
